The Langley Curling Centre welcomes all inquiries for event bookings. We would like to be able to fulfill your time frames and requests. Curling is a sport for life, and no one forgets their curling experiences, so we want to welcome your group.
Langley Curling Centre has over 700 members, with curling leagues and events running almost every day and evening of the week. Curling Event Bookings are approved based on the availability of required coaches and volunteers. The safety of the attendees as well as the protection of our equipment and a good experience, is our priority. Once you have chosen a date, your approved ice booking and insurance/deposit requirements are forwarded to the Township of Langley for payment. The Equipment Rental and Coaching Fees are paid to the Curling Centre.
Rates - Township of Langley
- Ice Bookings are by the sheet and by the hour. Maximum 8 persons per sheet.
- Our maximum number of people on the ice is dependent on availability. (Minimum booking 8. If small group check out out Try-it sessions on Friday Nights)
- Ice Rental is $45 per sheet/hour determined by date/time by TOL.
- Insurance is $25 (1-25 pers) $45 (26-199 pers) confirmed by the TOL.
- Refundable Damage Deposit of $300 confirmed by the TOL
Rates - Langley Curling Club
- Rental Equipment $5.00 per person
- Coaches $35.00/2hour per sheet
Family groups with children
- Children must be minimum 5 years and are required to wear a helmet. LCC does not supply helmets.
- Children in your groups must be stated on the application form by quantity and age.
- Children under the age of 10 are not able to handle 45 lb curling rocks. Little Rocks available for younger curlers but please understand using multiple rocks will change the format of your experience.
- Maximum children are considered and must be less or equal to number of adults. We choose to consider these groups at our discretion based on coach availability.
Availability
- Saturday between 4:00pm and 6:00pm
- Booked as a 2-hour session
- Dates are first come, first served and not always available based on prior commitments.
Food and Beverage
No outside food or beverage is allowed at the George Preston Recreation Centre. All catering arrangements can be made through The Fairhaven Group Events Manager for Pub, Restaurant or Catering Rooms.
